Absolute Magnetic Sensing Head AKS16

The AKS16, along with its associated scales, provides cost-effective absolute magnetic measuring solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. It supports linear measurements up to 256 mm and rotary measurements—both radial and axial—ranging from 11 mm to 86 mm in diameter. The AKS16 offers outputs in BISS-C or SSI, as well as a parallel incremental signal output. With a linear resolution of up to 156 nm and a rotary resolution of up to 20 bits, this hollow shaft encoder significantly outperforms typical shaft end applications.

The AKS16 is compact, with dimensions of 24.2 mm in length (for the 1.28 mm and 1.50 mm pole pitch versions) or 28 mm in length (for the 2 mm pole pitch version), 16 mm in width, and a height of 6.6 mm (Molex version) or 3.4 mm (FFC version). Its IP67 protection class ensures reliable operation even in harsh environments.
